Orfeo is Amsterdam's largest exclusively gay hotel. The hotel was established in 1969. Located in the center of the city, it is situated within a short walk to the Leidseplein, the Kerkstraat gay scene, the Reguliersdwarsstraat gay scene, and Vondelpark. Hotel Orfeo is THE address of Amsterdam’s gay hotels and is exceptionally popular with people from around the world, some of whom have been visiting us since we opened in 1969. We offer single, double, twin and triple rooms. Some have shower and toilet en suite and others have shared shower and toilet. All rooms have private telephone, cable TV, private safe, mini bar. All guests receive their own keys so they can come and go as they please. Room prices include a full Dutch-style breakfast untill 11:00.

Hotel Orfeo also has an Italian style restaurant on the ground floor and is open from Tuesday untill Sunday night from 17:00 untill 22:00. Hotel guests recieve a 12% discount on main courses. The hotel lounge is open everyday from 12:00 untill midnight. Guests can come and enjoy a drink from the bar before they go out or just hang out and chat with some of the other guests staying in the hotel. Free coffee is served for our guests from 17:00 untill 19:00. We also offer a happy hour during which anyone can have 2 drinks for the price of one.

Hotel Orfeo is very centrally located and is close to the bars, discos and saunas. The Orfeo is also within a short walk to Amsterdam's major art museums: the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh museum, and the Stedelijk museum. Guests can also find the Holland Casino, the City Theater (where first run movies play), and other smaller cinemas nearby. There is also Vondel Park, the Jordaan and many other picturesque neighborhoods also with in walking distance.

Once you get to Schiphol Airport you can either take a taxi directly to us (which is about EUR 35 tell the driver that the street is near the Leidseplein) or you can take a train to Amsterdam Centraal Station.
From Centraal Station you can take trams 1, 2, or 5 to Prinsengracht. From Prinsengracht make a left once you step off the tram (the canal should be on your left). Then, take the first right which is Leidsekruisstraat. |
