Hotel Amsterdam is a First Class hotel in the centre of town. Build in 1911; however completely renovated in 2001-2002 with rooms that exceed expectations of all modern travellers. Including an Executive Floor with a Business Centre and 2 Board Rooms, and high Speed Internet connection in all 79 rooms.
In the heart of the business and shopping area, like department stores De Bijenkorf and Magna Plaza, Madame Tussaud, Anne Frank House, Diamond Centres and the stock exchange. Hotel Amsterdam is situated on the Damrak, the street which links the Central Railway Station to the world famous Dam Square, with the Royal Palace; the heart of the exciting Amsterdam. Right opposite the hotel there is public transport (city tram) to all parts of the city (like RAI Congres Centre!) and there is also a frequent KLM coach service from and to Schiphol Airport. Public parking is available 24 hours a day. Our Dutch food restaurant "De Roode Leeuw" is one of the leading members of "Neerlands Dis". "Neerlands Dis" restaurants prepare traditional Dutch dishes with Dutch dairy, meat and vegetables. Superb wines and magnificent old-fashioned local liquors (recipes which are over 300 years old!) are part of our assortment. Our guests can watch the world go by on the terrace. One can choose from a large range of drinks, typical Dutch snacks, lunch dishes, coffee varieties, pastries and ice-creams. Brasserie "De Roode Leeuw" is one of the oldest (dating back to 1930) heated and airconditioned terraces in Amsterdam.
